Our place is located out at Plot No.1610 in Gidc Estate 2. Being in the Sabalpur Village area means we are surrounded by a lot of other industrial sheds and warehouses. It’s not exactly the most scenic spot, but it’s practical for what we do. We spend a lot of time dealing with the logistics of getting beverages moved in and out. The roads around the estate can get pretty chewed up by the heavy lorries, so deliveries sometimes take a bit longer than we’d like. Inside the shed, it’s mostly just rows of pallets and the sound of the fans humming to keep the air moving. It gets stuffy during the summer months, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t really have a sales team or anything like that. We just answer the phone and try to keep the orders straight. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desk, but we know where everything is. Sabalpur is a quiet village otherwise, but this part of the GIDC is always humming with noise from the machinery nearby. We’ve been at this plot for a while now and we know all the neighbors, which helps when someone’s truck is blocking the lane. It’s just a regular workday here, nothing too complicated. We focus on the crates and the bottles and making sure the counts match the slips before the drivers head out. It is a lot of lifting and counting, but it gets done.
