We have been set up at No.09 in the Murugarajendra Complex on Hadadi Road for quite some time now. Davangere is a busy place, and our corner of it is no different, especially with all the traffic coming through. The office itself is pretty basic, just some desks, a couple of chairs for people to sit on, and a lot of paperwork piled up. We also handle things for Hubli, so the phone is usually ringing with someone asking about a trip or a timing. It gets pretty warm in the office during the summer months, but the old ceiling fan does its best to keep the air moving. We aren't the type of place with fancy glass walls or a receptionist in a suit. Most of the time, it is just us in our regular clothes, drinking tea and looking over the logbooks. The drivers come in and out to pick up their schedules, and sometimes they stay for a bit to chat about the road conditions or the weather. Being near the main road means there is always noise outside, but you get used to it after a few days. We just focus on getting the cars where they need to be. It is a simple operation and we like it that way because it keeps things honest. People know where to find us if they need to go somewhere. We just keep the keys ready and the registers updated every single day.
