You can find our college at 37/6, Maruthi Arcade in the P J Extension area of Davangere. We are on the second main road, and the building is easy enough to spot once you are in the neighborhood. We have rooms set up with several sewing machines and large cutting tables for the students to use. It is usually a bit messy with scraps of fabric and different colors of thread all over the floor by noon. We do not really mind the mess though, because it shows that people are actually working on their projects. The 577002 area is where we have set up our shop. It is a practical place for students to come and learn the basics of fashion and design. We do not have a fashion runway or any fancy studio lights here. It is mostly just hard work over a sewing machine all day. Sometimes we have some trouble with the older machines and have to spend the morning trying to fix them ourselves. We teach how to sketch out ideas and how to put a garment together from scratch. It is a very hands-on kind of place. Most of us here have been working with fabric for a very long time. We aren't trying to be a high-fashion house. We just want to give local students a place to learn a skill.
