Davangere Garments Manufacturers Private Limited is set up over in the Industrial Area. We are specifically located in the Textile Park near the New DC office. It's a bit of a trek out to Plot No 38 in the KIADB part of Karur, but that’s where all the space for manufacturing is. We share the spot with Banjara Garments. It’s pretty noisy around here with all the machines running constantly. Making clothes involves a lot of different steps and we are right in the middle of it every day. The factory floor is usually full of fabric scraps and people working on different sections of garments. We spend most of our time just looking at patterns and dealing with the sewing machines. It gets quite hot in the afternoon under the industrial roof. We've been operating out of this Karur location because it makes sense for the textile industry. There isn't much to see other than rows of machines and stacks of finished items ready to be moved out. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we get the manufacturing done. Most of the staff live nearby and we have a routine that keeps the production line moving. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks, and we just have to fix it and keep going. That’s just how it is in this line of work. We stay focused on the tasks we have each day.
