Our shop is right in the Murugharajendra Complex, which is near Jayadeva Circle. If you're driving down Hadadi Road, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times. It’s a small space, number one, right at the front. We handle a lot of different supplies here. I started this because there wasn't much else in the neighborhood at the time. Most of the time it’s just me and one other guy helping out. We keep the shelves stocked with what people actually ask for. Sometimes we run out of things, but we try to get more by the following week. The traffic around Jayadeva Circle can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually close up before it gets too crazy. The complex has been here a long time, and you can tell by the walls. It’s got that old building smell, but it stays cool in the heat. People drop in just to chat sometimes while they're out running errands. We don't do much advertising, just word of mouth mostly. If someone needs a part or a tool, they know where we are. It’s a simple setup. We keep a ledger on the desk and try to stay on top of the paperwork. It isn't a high-tech operation, but it works for us and the folks around here. We just hope the road construction finishes soon so it’s easier to park.
