Sree Raghavendra Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital

Down in Malladihalli, which is in the Holalkere Tq of Chitradurga District, you’ll find Sree Raghavendra Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital. It’s a place where we both teach and treat people. Being out in the district means we have a lot of space and a bit more peace than the city clinics. The hospital part is always busy with people from the nearby villages. They come in for traditional Ayurvedic care. On the college side, you have students carrying books and learning about ancient herbs and modern science. It’s a mix of both worlds here. The buildings are spread out and there’s a lot of greenery around. We grow some of our own plants for the medicines. It’s hard work keeping the gardens and the hospital running at the same time. The staff lives mostly nearby. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By midday, the halls are full of students and patients. It can get a bit hectic during exam times for the college. The hospital side stays pretty steady, though. People know us in Chitradurga as a place that’s been around for a while. We don’t have any fancy marketing people. We just focus on the teaching and the treatments. It’s a practical place with a lot of history in these walls. Malladihalli is a quiet town, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
