Songala Metals

We’ve been here at the Desai Complex on Kumta Road for a while now. You can find us pretty easily because we are right near the bus stand in Ankola. It gets busy around here with people coming and going from the buses all day. Songala Metals is basically just a local spot where we deal with different kinds of metal parts and materials. Usually, someone is here early to open up the shutters and get things organized. The shop isn't huge but we keep what we need in stock. Some days it’s quiet and we just organize the shelves, while other days it’s a bit of a rush with people stopping in on their way through town. We don’t really do fancy office stuff. Most of our time is spent moving things around or talking to folks who walk in off the street. If you are walking from the bus stand, it’s just a short distance. We know the neighbors around the complex well. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We handle a lot of different orders, some big and some just small bits for local repairs. It’s a straightforward business. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the work done. No big corporate meetings here, just us working and making sure the inventory is where it should be when a customer asks. We usually close up when it gets dark.
