Sagar Spices

We are located at 26-12 on the 1st Main and 1st Cross in Davangere. It is a simple setup we have here for Sagar Spices. The shop is on a corner that sees a decent amount of foot traffic. We mostly sell everyday spices that people use in their homes. We have jars lined up on the shelves, some with whole cloves and others with red chili powder. It isn't a modern store with bright lights. We use old-fashioned bulbs and the floor is just plain tiles. I spend a lot of my time talking to the women who come in to buy spices for their daily cooking. They usually want a specific amount, so I spend time with the scale. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a bit while they are out running errands. We don't have any big corporate plans. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure we have what people are looking for. Davangere can get quite hot, so we have a small fan behind the counter that runs all day. It gets a bit cramped when we get a new delivery of sacks, but we manage. My son helps me on the weekends when he is not at school. We have a routine of opening the shutters and sweeping the front every morning before the first customer arrives. It is just a normal life for us here in the shop. We keep going day by day.
