Rathna Flour Mills

Rathna Flour Mills is situated at 7-8-1, Banaswadi, within the Kadur Taluka area. It’s a small operation where we grind various grains into flour. Most of the people who come here bring their own wheat or ragi in small sacks. We spend our days standing by the grinders, making sure the texture is right. It gets very loud in here, and the white dust covers almost everything by noon. We try to keep the place clean, but with flour, it’s a constant battle. The shop is a simple room with the machines and a small space for people to wait. We don’t have any big signs or fancy lighting. Kadur Taluka is a place where people still prefer to get their grain ground fresh instead of buying it from a store. We see many of the same neighbors every week. Sometimes the machines need a bit of a fix, so we spend time with the tools getting things back in order. It’s practical work that doesn’t change much from one day to the next. We just keep the wheels turning and help the people who walk through the door. There isn't much more to it than that. We are just a local mill in Banaswadi doing what we know how to do. The hours are long during some seasons, but we are used to the pace by now.
