Panchatara Ice Cream

Panchatara Ice Cream is situated in the Shrinidhi Complex, right by Gopi Circle in the Durgigudi area of Shivamogga. It’s a central spot, so there is always a lot of traffic and people walking by our window. Our shop is just one of many in the complex. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners around the circle. It’s a small space, but we make it work. We spend our time keeping the display cases clean and making sure the flavors are stocked up properly. It’s not always easy keeping up with the rush in the evenings. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff before the weekend is over. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just us behind the counter. We handle everything from the cleaning to the accounts ourselves. The language we use is just plain English because we aren't trying to be something we aren't. We just want to provide a place where you can get an ice cream while you're out running errands at Gopi Circle. The floor gets a bit sticky sometimes when it's busy, but we mop it as soon as we can. It’s a local business run by local people. We don't have a mission statement or anything. We just open the doors every morning and see who comes in. That's the way it's been for a while now, and we hope it continues.
