You will find K Habeeb Ullah & Company at 695/2 on the Chamrajpete Main Road. We are right in the Mandipet area which is always bustling with people and carts. This place has been around for a long time. Because the street is narrow, you have to be careful not to get bumped by someone carrying a heavy load on their head. Inside our shop, it’s a bit dark but we like it that way because it keeps the heat out. We have sacks of goods stacked up against the walls. The wooden counters are worn down because they have been used for so many years. It’s a family name on the sign and we try to live up to it by just being honest with everyone who walks in. People in Mandipet already know where to find us, so we don't spend money on advertising. My grandfather used to sit in the same spot where I sit now. During the day, we drink a lot of coffee and talk to the other shopkeepers. It is a community of traders here. When the electricity goes out, we just light a few lamps and keep going. Instead of a computer system, we have some old books where we write down what comes in and what goes out. Doing business this way is simple but it has worked for decades.
