Our group is located out in Kariganu, which is in the Channagiri taluk of Davanagere district. Being in this part of Karnataka means we are far away from the big cities like Bangalore. It’s a much more rural setting, and the pace of life reflects that. We are surrounded by greenery and local farms, which is a nice change from the usual industrial areas. Our office is a simple building that serves as our main hub for the local work we do. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages and towns. We don’t have any of those corporate perks you see in the big cities. We just have a place to sit, some fans to keep the air moving, and the equipment we need to do our jobs. The roads out here can be a bit rough, especially after the rains, but we are used to it by now. It’s a tight-knit group where everyone knows each other’s families. We focus on the practical side of the Essar Group’s interests in this region. Whether it’s managing local resources or overseeing small projects, we do it all from here. It’s an honest way of living and working. We take pride in being a part of the Davanagere community. There’s nothing fancy about our setup, but it’s ours and it works for the kind of life we have here in Kariganu. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
