Chetana Hospital

Chetana Hospital is right here in Chikmagalur. We have been serving this area for a good while. It's a general hospital, so we see a bit of everything coming through the doors. From people with fevers to minor accidents, there is always someone in the waiting area. We have a few different wards and some private rooms, though they are usually full. The building is an older style with high ceilings and big windows. It helps with the air but it can get a bit chilly at night. We have a small pharmacy inside so people don't have to go far for their medicine. The staff is mostly local people who live within walking distance. We don't have the newest tech you might find in a big city, but we have what's necessary to take care of the folks around here. The kitchen provides basic meals for the patients staying over. It’s a busy place and the floors are always being mopped because of all the muddy shoes coming in during the rainy season. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch over to the generator, which makes a lot of noise. We try to keep things organized but hospitals are naturally a bit chaotic. Everyone knows us in the neighborhood. We just do our best to help whoever walks in with a problem. It’s hard work but it’s what we do.
