Ambulance - ss Narayana Ambulance Services

We've been running the ambulance team out of the Ss Narayana Heart Centre for a while now. It gets pretty loud around here sometimes with the sirens, but that is just how it goes when you are dealing with medical stuff. Most people around the neighborhood know where we are parked. We just focus on getting the vans ready and making sure the drivers know the shortcuts through the traffic. It’s not a fancy job, but it’s what we do. The heart centre stays busy, so we are usually on the move or checking the oxygen tanks in the back. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up, but the vehicles are always good to go. Most of our guys have been here for years and they know these streets by heart. It’s a lot of waiting around until the phone rings, then everyone moves fast. We don’t spend much time sitting in an office because there is always a tire to check or a stretcher that needs fixing up. Being based right here at the centre makes things easier for the hospital staff too. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the driving part of the day. It’s a small operation, really. Just a bunch of us making sure the ambulances are where they need to be when a call comes in from someone in trouble. The traffic can be a nightmare but we manage to find our way through it.
