Alpha Spiece Company

Down here on MG Road in Kadur, at 6-9-124, is where we do everything for Alpha Spiece Company. The air around the shop always smells like black pepper and turmeric, which you get used to after a few days of working here. We spend most of our time sorting through sacks of raw spices and making sure the moisture is right. It gets a bit dusty when the grinding machines are running, so we keep the windows open as much as we can. Kadur is a decent place to run a business like this because the local farmers bring in good stuff. We aren't a big corporation with suits and meetings; it’s mostly just us in our work clothes handling the inventory. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit before we can get the motors going again. That’s just part of life on MG Road. We fill the packets ourselves and weigh them on the old scales. It’s repetitive work, but there is something nice about seeing the finished bags stacked up ready to go. Customers come in and out, usually looking for something fresh for their kitchen. We don't do much advertising. People mostly know we are here because of the smell and the sign outside. It’s just a regular local spot where we try to keep things organized and get the orders out on time every day.
