Lakhan Lakwal Stoke Brokker

We operate out of Manpur Village, which is situated in the Sikrai Tehsil. Our office is right by the Uco Bank, so if you can find the bank, you have found us. Being a stoke brokker in a village might seem a bit unusual to some, but we have a good number of local people who come to us. Lakhan Lakwal is the name on the door, and we keep things very local and personal. The village of Manpur is a quiet place for the most part, except for market days. We have a small setup with a couple of computers and some chairs for clients to sit on while we talk. It is not like those high-tech offices in the big cities. We explain things in plain language because that is what people here prefer. The bank next door brings a lot of foot traffic our way, which is helpful. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. We handle a lot of different requests throughout the week. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at numbers, but we enjoy the interaction with the villagers. We don’t wear suits or anything like that; we just dress like everyone else in the tehsil. It’s a comfortable way to work, and we feel like we are part of the village fabric here. We have been in this spot for a while and plan to stay.
