Jai Bajrang Stone Industries

We spend most of our days here at Jai Bajrang Stone Industries right on the Agra Road. It gets pretty dusty out here in Sikandra with all the traffic passing by on Nh-11, but that is just how it is when you work with stone. We have been in this spot for a good while now. Most mornings start early, usually before the sun gets too high and the heat really kicks in. You can hear the sounds of cutting and grinding almost as soon as the gates open. It is loud work and your hands get rough after a few years of doing this. We handle a lot of slabs and blocks, moving them around the yard with the crane when it decides to behave. Sometimes the machines act up or the power cuts out, which is typical for this area, so we just sit for a bit and have some tea until things get moving again. It is not a fancy place, just a workspace with a lot of heavy lifting and grit. People stop by because they see us from the main road while they are traveling. We keep things pretty simple here. There are no big offices or air-conditioned rooms, just the shed and the stones and the daily routine of getting the orders ready. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy and we know our way around a piece of marble or granite better than most things. The pile of scrap stone in the corner just keeps growing.
