Magha Foundation

We are located out in the village of Kalapahad, which is in the Chirula area of Datia. Our place is associated with Dimpi, the daughter of Sh. Satpal. The pin code here is 475661. It is a very rural setting compared to the big city offices in places like Bhopal or Indore. Life moves a bit slower here in Kalapahad, which we don't mind at all. We work out of a simple building that fits right in with the rest of the village houses. There are fields nearby and you can hear the birds and animals throughout the day. It is a quiet place to get things done without the noise of the city. We don't have fancy office furniture or glass walls. We use what we have, which is mostly basic tables and chairs and some storage boxes. People from the village stop by quite often just to chat or check in. In a place like this, everyone knows whose house or office is whose. We are part of the local fabric here in Datia. The air is a bit cleaner and the nights are much darker than in the town. We spend our days handling the paperwork and talking to the people who come through our door. It is an honest way to work and live. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who live nearby and walk to the office. It is a nice life and we are happy to be here.
