Ruloi Tea Trading Private Limited

Ruloi Tea Trading Private Limited is based in Mangaldoi. We are located in the New Colony area, specifically in Ward No. 7, which most locals know as Telipara. We don't actually grow the tea ourselves on a massive scale; we mostly focus on the trading side of things. This means we buy tea from different gardens and then find buyers who want it. It sounds simple but it involves a lot of tasting and checking quality. Our office is quite small and usually has boxes of samples stacked everywhere. You can barely see the floor sometimes. Mangaldoi is a good spot for this because it’s a central hub in the Darrang district. We’ve been here for a while, so we know most of the garden managers around. We don't have a big corporate hierarchy. There is just me and a couple of others who handle the phones and the transport. Sometimes the trucks break down on the way to Guwahati, and we have to spend all night sorting it out. It’s not a fancy job by any means. We wear plain clothes and drink a lot of chai while we work. We don't bother with fancy mission statements or "best in class" talk. We just try to get the tea from point A to point B and make sure everyone is happy.
