Our office is over at Bechimari Jangal, care of Abdul Alom. It is a quiet spot in the Darrang district where we have been doing our work for a good while now. We started Khalich Nidhi Limited because folks around here needed a place to handle their small savings without traveling too far. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. We just have some basic desks and chairs in a room that gets the job done. Most people who come through the door are neighbors we have known for years. We do not have a big team of experts or a call center. It is just a few of us sitting down with ledgers and pens every day. We talk about the weather or the local news while we sort out the paperwork. Sometimes the rain makes the road to Bechimari a bit of a mess, but we still open up. We do not go for big advertisements or try to sound like a giant bank from the city. We just keep our heads down and focus on the numbers.
