Jiabharali Foundation

Over here in Jamughurihat, we set up the Jiabharali Foundation right along the NH15. If you're driving through Towbhanga or Naharbari, you’ll pass House Number 107, which is where we do our work. It’s a busy spot because of the highway, but inside it’s pretty simple. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception desk. It’s just a room where we get together to talk about how to help the community. There’s always someone coming or going. Sometimes the noise from the road gets a bit much, but it means we’re easy to find for anyone passing through. We handle a lot of different things, mostly just whatever comes up that needs a hand. The people running things here are just locals who grew up in the area. We know the problems folks face around these parts because we face them too. We don't put on any airs about what we're doing. It’s just basic work for the foundation. If you look at our desk, it’s mostly just notebooks and pens, nothing high-tech. We like it that way because it keeps things grounded. Being right there on the main road helps us stay connected to everything happening in the district. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy with the local needs that pop up every week. There is always a lot to do, and we just tackle it one day at a time without any fuss.
