Our place is located right at the 192 LP School in Silbori. It’s a bit of a landmark around here in Darrang, so we’re easy to find. You can hear the children playing and the teachers talking throughout the day, which makes the office feel less lonely. Giriraj Seeds And Biotech Private Limited sounds like a very technical name, and we do deal with some of that science stuff, but we keep it pretty simple. We mostly focus on seeds and how they grow in our local soil. The building is an old one, and it has that specific smell of concrete and earth. We have shelves lined with different seed varieties and some basic tools for checking their quality. It’s not a high-tech laboratory with people in white coats. It’s just us in our regular clothes, looking at seeds and talking to the farmers who stop by. People usually hear about us from their neighbors or see us when they’re dropping their kids off at the school next door. We just try to provide good seeds and help out where we can. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We just keep working through the seasons.
