Vastu Realtors Pvt. Ltd. is situated on Bentinck Road in Jote. We are specifically on Dr. Nanda Lal Thapa Path in the Darjeeling district. Working up here is a bit different than in the plains. The weather changes fast, and sometimes the mist rolls right into the street. Our office is on a path that has a lot of history to it. We spend our days dealing with property matters in and around the hills. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of talking to people who have lived here for generations. The office itself is modest, with a wooden floor that creaks a bit and a small heater for the colder months. We don't have a big corporate setup. It’s just a few of us sitting around a table, going over documents and maps of the district. Bentinck Road can be quiet, but it has its busy moments when the tourists or locals are moving about. We handle things in a very personal way because in a place like Darjeeling, everyone eventually knows everyone else. We take our time with things and don't like to rush. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in hill properties, so we spend a lot of hours making sure everything is in order. It’s a unique place to work, and we feel lucky to have this little office on Dr. Nanda Lal Thapa Path. We just try to keep the documents organized and the tea hot while we help people with their land issues.
