Shah Appliances Pvt Ltd is based out of Sunview Apartments on Ashutosh Mukherjee Road. We are right in the College Para area of Siliguri, which usually stays pretty active with students and locals walking around. Our space is filled with all sorts of household machines and boxes waiting to be delivered. It gets a little cramped when a new shipment arrives, but we find a way to stack things. The traffic in Siliguri can be a headache, so we spend a lot of time checking where our delivery van is. We’ve been at this 734001 zip code for a good bit now. Some days it is quiet and we just organize the shelves, other days it feels like everyone needs a new fridge at the same time. We aren’t a big mall store, just a regular place where you can talk to someone who knows how the machines actually work. The floor might be a bit scuffed from moving heavy boxes, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. My brother usually handles the paperwork while I talk to the people coming in. We keep a diary of all the service requests on the main desk. It's a simple way of working that has served us well here in West Bengal. Just honest work and trying to keep the appliances running for everyone in the neighborhood. We usually close up once the streetlights come on.
