Sankar Ghosh Travels

You can find us on Hillcart Road, right near Sevoke More in Siliguri. If you know this city, you know that Sevoke More is one of the busiest places around, especially with all the traffic coming through. Our office at Sankar Ghosh Travels has been here for years, tucked in among the other shops and businesses. It’s a small place, and it gets quite dusty because we are so close to the main road. Every morning, one of us has to wipe down the desks and chairs before we can even start working. We don't have any big marketing teams or fancy brochures. Usually, it's just us talking to people who walk in off the street or call us up on the landline. We have a bench where people can sit while they wait for their paperwork or for a driver to show up. Sometimes we sit there ourselves and just watch the cars go by. 734001 is a hectic area, but we’ve grown used to the noise of the horns and the shouting. We keep our records in big notebooks because it’s easier than relying on the computer all the time. Sometimes we share a pot of tea and talk about how the roads up to the hills are looking. It’s a very basic setup, and we don’t try to make it look like something it isn't. We’re just a local travel office trying to do our job every day. It is a long day but we enjoy the work.
