Samita

You can find us at Raj Bhawan on Rashiklal Ghosh Sarani. This is in the Mahananda Para area of Siliguri, which is a bit of a residential spot but still close to everything. We are near the Mahabir Guest House, a place many people use as a landmark when they are trying to find their way around here. Samita is just a small operation. We don't have a big team or a massive office complex. It’s just a comfortable space in a local building. The 734001 area is familiar to us because most of us have lived in Siliguri for a long time. The street is usually quiet compared to the main roads, which makes it easier to focus on what we are doing. We have some plants in the corner and basic furniture that has seen better days, but it serves its purpose. Our day starts early and ends when the work is finished. There is no set script for how we talk to people; we just treat everyone who walks in like a neighbor. The building itself, Raj Bhawan, has a bit of character to it. We like being in Mahananda Para because it feels more like a community than just a business district. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the walk to the office a bit of a challenge with the puddles on Rashiklal Ghosh Sarani, but we manage. We’ve seen the guest house next door get busy during the wedding season. It’s a humble setup, nothing more and nothing less.
