If you are driving down Hill Cart Road in Siliguri you will probably pass us near the Howrah Petrol pump. That petrol station is a good way to know you are in the right place. Our shop is right on the main stretch so we get a lot of noise from the trucks and buses going past all day long. It is a simple medicine shop with a counter that has seen a lot of use over the years. We keep the shelves packed with whatever we can get hold of that people might need. Sometimes the delivery guys come late and we have to shuffle boxes around while customers are waiting. It is just how things go in a busy part of town. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly it is just calendars and maybe a small clock that runs a few minutes fast. People stop in because we are convenient and they know we have been here a long time. We recognize a lot of the drivers who stop for fuel and then run over to get something for a headache or a cough. It is a very practical sort of place. We open early and stay until the traffic dies down a bit in the evening. There is no corporate office or anything like that behind us. It is just a local shop on a busy road trying to stay organized.
