We are located up in Kalijhora, which is a beautiful but sometimes difficult part of the Darjeeling district. Being in West Bengal, the weather really dictates how much work we get done. When the rains come, things slow down a lot, but we stay in the office to catch up on the paperwork. Our spot here is simple. We don't have fancy furniture or big signs. It’s just where we manage the construction projects in this hilly region. The roads around here can be tough, especially after a storm, so we spend a lot of time making sure the trucks can actually get through to the sites. Living and working in 734320 means you get used to the mist and the steep climbs. The office is usually a bit chilly in the mornings, so we start with hot tea while we go over the plans for the day. We deal with a lot of local stuff, trying to keep the projects moving despite the terrain. It’s a small team here. We know the neighbors and the local suppliers well because you have to in a place like this. Most of the time, we are out checking on the progress of a wall or a road, but this is our home base. It’s a practical space for practical work. Nothing more to it than that. We just show up and try to get the jobs finished properly without any big corporate noise.
