Hindustan Construction Company Ltd

We are located up in Kalijhora, in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. Our office is right there in the village, and it’s a beautiful place to be, even if the terrain makes the work a bit challenging sometimes. Being in the hills means we deal with different kinds of logistics than the city offices. This branch of Hindustan Construction Company Ltd is small but very focused on the local projects in the mountains. We are right near the post office. The air is cool, and the views are great, but inside the office, it’s all business. We have our maps of the mountain roads and the river area spread out on big tables. It’s a rugged kind of work. We wear boots and jackets more than suits and ties. The building is simple and sturdy, built to handle the weather we get up here. We don't have a lot of walk-in visitors, but we are always busy with the site crews coming in and out. It’s a tight-knit group here. We rely on each other a lot because of how isolated the location can feel. We aren't interested in fancy words or corporate talk. We just focus on the rocks, the soil, and the structures we are building. It is a humble way to work, but it feels good to be part of the landscape here in Darjeeling. It is hard work but someone has to do it.
