Our little medical shop is tucked away in Sahani Basti along the Prakash Nagar Road. Most people around here use Indra Mart as a landmark to find us since it is quite close by. We have been part of this Siliguri neighborhood for a while now and we know most of the families who live on these streets. The shop itself is pretty basic with wooden counters and glass jars and stacks of medicine boxes everywhere. It is not the kind of place with bright neon lights or a lot of space to walk around. We just focus on having the right supplies for when someone gets sick or needs their regular tablets. The road outside can get a bit dusty and narrow so parking a big vehicle is sometimes a problem for people. We usually have a radio playing low in the background while we wait for customers to come in. It is a quiet life for the most part except for the busy evening hours when everyone is heading home from work. We don't bother with fancy slogans or big promises. We just try to get the orders right and give people what they need. If we don't have something in stock we usually try to find out who does or when it might arrive for us. It is just a small local business run by people who live right here in the same town.
