Sukhada Animal Farms Private Limited is located over in Siliguri, specifically in the Matigara area. Our address is at the City Centre, but the actual farming work happens a bit further out where there is more space for the animals. Being in the Darjeeling district, we get some nice weather, but the monsoon rains can make the farm a real muddy mess. We spend our time looking after the livestock, which involves a lot of feeding, cleaning, and general upkeep. It is not a desk job by any means. Most of us are out in the units all day. We have a small team here in Siliguri. We are not a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a group of people who understand how to handle animals properly. Sometimes the feed deliveries get delayed because of the traffic on the hill roads, so we have to plan ahead quite a bit. It’s a practical business. We do not spend money on fancy advertisements or big signs. People in the Matigara area know where we are. We just want to make sure the animals are healthy and the farm stays productive. It is a long day, usually starting before the sun is fully up, but that is just how animal farming goes. We deal with the problems as they come, whether it is a broken fence or a sick cow. It is just regular life for us on the farm.
