Strawberry Kids

Strawberry Kids is located over in East Vivekananda Palli, right near Sanghati Mode. If you are familiar with Siliguri, you know it’s a pretty active part of town. We set up this place because there weren't many options for the younger children in this specific pocket of East Vivekananda Pally. The building is bright, and we try to keep it as cheerful as possible for the little ones who come in every morning. It’s mostly just a group of us who enjoy working with kids. We spend the day doing drawings, singing songs, and making sure everyone plays nice together. It can get pretty loud when everyone is excited, but that is part of the job. We have some toys that are a bit worn out, but the kids don't seem to mind at all. Parents drop their children off on their way to work and we catch up for a minute or two at the gate. It feels more like a community spot than a formal institution. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the children are safe and learning something useful while they are with us. The neighborhood knows us well by now. We’ve been at this address for a good while and we like being part of the daily rhythm of the local streets near Sanghati Mode.
