Step By Step

Over here in District Darjeeling, things are a little different because of the hills and the weather. We are located in Ward No 43, right near the Old Mahananda Bridge. Step By Step is the name on the door, and we’ve been here for a good amount of time. The bridge is a busy spot, so there is always movement nearby. Sometimes the mist rolls in and you can hardly see the other side of the street, which is just part of living in Darjeeling. Our work involves a lot of coordination and making sure things get where they need to go, despite the terrain. The office is simple. We have a few computers that are a bit old, and plenty of folders stacked up on the shelves. It’s not a polished corporate office with carpets and glass walls. It’s a practical space where we can work without worrying about getting a bit of mud on the floor. We drink a lot of tea here, as you might expect given the location. The staff knows the local routes well, which helps when we need to get something done quickly. We aren't interested in sounding like a big multinational company. We are just a local team in Ward 43 trying to do a solid job every day. It’s about being reliable and showing up, even when the rain is coming down hard on the tin roof.
