We are up here in Kurseong on Burdawan Road. Most people know the spot, it is right on the first floor of number 8. Living and working around Ambootia means you get used to the mist and the hills every single morning. Spj Sudarshan Nidhi Limited is basically just us helping folks out with their savings and small loans right in the heart of the Darjeeling district. It isn’t some massive skyscraper setup, just a practical office where we handle the books and talk to neighbors. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and things slow down quite a bit, but we stay open for anyone walking in from the P.O. Kurseong area. We have been at this for a while now. The address is 734203 if you are sending anything by post. It gets busy on market days when people come down from the tea gardens. We keep things pretty simple here. There aren't any fancy lobby areas or anything, just desks and chairs and the smell of the mountain air coming through the windows. Most of the time it is just us catching up on paperwork or dealing with the local bank stuff. We know the people around here and they know where to find us if they need to sort out their finances. It is a quiet life most days, apart from the traffic on the main road. We just do our work and head home like everyone else in West Bengal.
