Purnima Collections & Manju Sri Selection

We are located near the Sondhani Club in the Milan Pally area of Palpara. Our shop actually has two names, Purnima Collections and Manju Sri Selection. It happened because we combined two different ideas into one single space a few years back to save on rent. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road but the people living around Milan Pally know the way to our door. We mostly sell clothes and some other small items that people need for their homes. It’s a family business so you’ll usually find my sister or my mother behind the counter. We don't have those big glass windows like the fancy shops in the city center. It’s just a cozy little spot where people can come and look around at things without any pressure to buy. We put out some chairs for the elderly ladies who come in and want to chat for a bit while they shop. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon so we keep a few rechargeable lights handy in the corner. The floors are tiled but they get dirty quickly when it rains outside. We don't really do any big sales or flashy promotions. We just try to have what people are looking for at a fair price. It’s been a good few years since we opened and we’ve gotten to know almost everyone in the neighborhood. It’s nice to work in a place where you know your customers by their names and what they like to buy.
