Pes Engineers Pvt Ltd is currently operating out of the Teesta Lower Dam Hydro Project site in Rambhi. This is up near Siliguri in West Bengal, so the surroundings are quite different from a typical city office. We are right there where the work is happening, dealing with the dust and the noise of the project every single day. It’s a rugged environment, and our office is more of a functional base than a place for meetings. We spend a lot of time in boots and safety gear because that is what the site demands. Rambhi is a beautiful area, but when you are focused on a hydro project, you mostly notice the river and the construction progress. Our team is a mix of people who have been traveling for work for years. We live and work close to the dam, so there isn't much of a commute, just a walk to the site. It can be tough when the weather gets bad, especially during the rains in West Bengal, but we just keep pushing through. We don't have many visitors out here, mostly just trucks and workers. It is a practical life, focused on the task at hand. We handle the engineering side of things and try to keep everything on track despite the challenges of the terrain. It’s honest work in a tough location, and we are used to the lifestyle by now.
