We’re over on Burdwan Road, at number 7/3. It’s a busy street, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We go by Nuxalbari Tea Company (P) Ltd. It sounds a bit formal, but we’re just regular people working here. Most of our time is spent managing the tea that comes in and goes out. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the quality is what it should be. We don't have any big slogans or flashy signs out front. If you walked past, you might not even realize how much goes on inside. We have a small staff and we’ve all been together for quite a while. It feels more like a small group of friends than a big company. We drink a lot of tea ourselves while we work, naturally. The building is an older one, but it suits us just fine. It’s got character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We aren't trying to change the world, we're just trying to run a decent business on Burdwan Road. We take things one day at a time. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to suppliers. We try to keep our heads down and stay focused on the task at hand. It’s a living for us and it keeps us busy.
