We set up our place inside the City Centre mall in Uttorayan, which is in the Matigara area of Siliguri. Being in a mall means there’s always something going on. We get people coming in after shopping or families out for the weekend. It’s a different vibe than a street shop because of the air conditioning and the constant flow of people through the corridors. We’ve been here for a while now, serving the local crowd from Siliguri and people visiting from nearby towns. It’s pretty convenient because shoppers just drop in when they get tired. The space we have is simple. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure nobody waits too long. Since we are in Matigara, we get a mix of locals and travelers. The mall has its own pace, and we just follow that. Some days are quieter than others, especially on weekday mornings, but it picks up fast by the evening. We don’t do anything too complicated here. It’s just about being reliable for the people who walk through those mall doors. We know the security guards and the other shop workers around here. It feels like a little community inside the building. If you are ever at City Centre for a movie or some clothes, you will find us on the floor there. We just keep our heads down and work. It is what it is.
