We are based out of Plot No 529 in Dhutijhola, over in the Phansidewa area. It is a bit out of the way, near Bhalamanashi. We are currently operating out of Jiwanti Lakra’s place. It is a very local setup, nothing like the big offices you see in the newspapers. We started this because we wanted to see some changes in our own backyard. It is just a couple of us usually. We don't have fancy titles or a big board of directors. We just sit in the room and figure out what needs doing for the day. Sometimes it is helping a neighbor, other times it is planning something bigger for the village. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially when it rains hard, but we manage to get around. We aren't trying to be world-beaters. We just want to do a bit of good where we live. Most of our work happens outside the office anyway. We are usually out meeting people or checking on small projects. It is practical work. There isn't much room for corporate talk or polished speeches here. We just say what we mean. It is a quiet life, but it keeps us busy enough. We don't have a lot of resources, so we have to be careful with what we have. It is just us, doing what we can with what is available. It is not perfect, but it is an honest start.
