Karuna Ks Founation

If you’re walking around Samar Nagar in Siliguri, you might have passed by our place without realizing it. Karuna Ks Founation is located on Palash Sarani Road. We are pretty close to the city autostand, which makes it easy for people to find us if they’re coming in from other parts of Champasar I. The office is at Shephali Sikdar’s house. Being in the Pradhan Nagar area of Darjeeling, we see a lot of different people every day. The pin code is 734003, right in the thick of things in West Bengal. We started this because we saw things in our neighborhood that we thought we could help with. It’s not a grand office with marble floors. It’s just a practical space where we can get our work done and meet with anyone who needs to talk to us. We try to keep things down to earth. Some of us have lived in Siliguri our whole lives, so we know the streets and the people here pretty well. Whether it’s stuff happening on Palash Sarani or further out, we just try to be a part of the community in a way that makes sense. Sometimes the traffic near the autostand makes it a bit noisy, but it’s a good spot to be in if you want to be where the action is. We just take things one day at a time, looking at what needs doing in our local area.
