Kalimpong Hospital

Kalimpong Hospital is located right inside the Jain Super Market area. Being in a market means it is never really silent around here, even in the evenings. You can hear the sounds of shoppers and vendors shouting all day long. The hospital itself is just a part of this bigger complex. We have been in this location for many years. It's convenient for people because they can do their shopping and then stop by if they need to check something. The entrance is right off the main walkway of the Jain Super Market. Inside, the rooms are a bit small because of how the market building was originally laid out. We just make the best of the space we have. There are rows of chairs for people to wait in, and they are usually full by mid-morning. The walls are painted a plain off-white color. We have a few fans on the ceiling that hum all day. It’s a very practical place. You won't find any fancy rugs or soft music playing in the background here. It’s just the sound of people talking and the occasional cart rattling past outside in the market. Our staff knows a lot of the shopkeepers around here personally. We get our tea from the stall just around the corner in the Jain Super Market area. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood fabric. People come in with all sorts of issues, and we just handle them as they arrive.
