We’ve been running Egghead Fashions Llp out of Siliguri for a while now. Specifically, we are over in Block 14 at Sushruta Nagar in Matigara. If you know the area, it’s inside the Shantiniketan Apartment building, specifically flat 4F. Dealing with clothes in this part of Darjeeling district is interesting because the weather changes so much. Rajesh Kumar oversees things here. It isn't a massive corporate office or anything fancy like that. It’s just a flat where we manage the daily work. Sometimes the stairs get crowded or the parking is a bit of a mess, but that’s just how it is living and working in Matigara. We spend most of our days checking orders and looking at fabrics. It’s quiet enough for us to get the job done without too many distractions from the main road. The apartment setting makes it feel more like a home than a shop, which helps when we have long days. People usually find us by asking for the Shantiniketan building near the hospital area. We don't have big neon signs. It’s a simple setup. Most of the time we’re just busy with the paperwork and making sure the stock is where it needs to be. It can get a bit tight in the flat when new shipments arrive, but we make it work. It's a local business through and through, just a few of us working together in this corner of West Bengal.
