We operate Dutta Supply Agency from Nabagram, which is in Ward 33 of the Siliguri area. Our office is located on Kalpana Chawla Sarani, quite close to the Winners Club. Being in the Darjeeling district, we sometimes have to deal with the mountain weather, which can make things interesting. We are basically a supply house, so our day consists of managing inventory and talking to clients who need materials. The office is small and filled with papers, ledgers, and samples of what we sell. It isn't a high-end showroom or anything like that. It is just a functional space where we get the business done. We have a small staff and we all know each other well. Most of our time is spent making sure the trucks are loaded correctly and that the orders are going to the right addresses. Sometimes there are mix-ups, and we have to spend the afternoon on the phone sorting it out. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe ourselves. We are just a local agency providing supplies to the people and businesses in this part of town. It is steady work that keeps us on our toes. We like the neighborhood we are in because it is active and we know the other business owners on the street. It is just a regular life of buying and selling and keeping things moving along.
