About Classic Audio Workstation – Electronics in Darjeeling
If you go down to Central Plaza, right under the State Bank of India, you’ll find us. We run Classic Audio Workstation there. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but it works for what we do. We spend most of our time dealing with sound, mixing, and recording. The space isn't huge, but we’ve got it set up so everything is within reach. Most days involve sitting in front of monitors and listening to tracks over and over. It gets pretty technical sometimes. We started this because we liked working with audio, and it just grew into a full-time thing. It’s often quiet in the studio, which is a nice change from the noise outside the bank. People bring in different projects, some music, some voice stuff. We just sit down and try to get the levels right. It’s not a fancy corporate studio, just a place where we put in the hours. Sometimes the equipment acts up, and we have to spend half the morning fixing cables. That’s just part of the job. Being in the basement or lower level of Central Plaza means we don't get much sunlight, but it’s better for the acoustics anyway. We've been here for a good bit now. It feels like home after all these hours spent tweaking sounds. If you’re around the plaza, you probably walked past our door without noticing. We are usually around if the lights are on and the door is unlocked.
