We operate out of Block No. 2, Flat No. 4A in the Green Valley Apartment. It’s part of the Baby Tea Estate area here in Siliguri. Our office is tucked away in the apartment complex, so it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main road with all the trucks. Baby Tea Estate- Shri Radaha Agency handles the side of the tea business that involves a lot of paperwork and coordinating with the local estates. We spend a lot of our time talking to people from the plantations and figuring out the schedules for the tea leaves to be picked and sent. Siliguri is a major hub for this kind of work, so there’s always something happening in the trade. The office is small and usually filled with samples of different teas and stacks of ledgers on the desks. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the tea trade well. It’s a lot of looking at leaves, smelling them, and deciding where they should go based on what people need. Sometimes we have to travel out to the gardens to see how the crop is doing, which is a nice break from the desk work. We don't go for flashy presentations or anything like that. We just know our tea and we stay focused on getting the quality right. Living and working in the same area makes things simple for us. We enjoy the pace of life here in Green Valley and just try to do our work well.
