Amita Bhandar

You can find Amita Bhandar over in Menchu Bazar. We are right near the OBC Bank, so it’s a pretty easy spot to locate if you’re walking through the market. The bazar gets really crowded on certain days, but that’s the way it goes here. We’ve been in this space for a long time. It’s a small shop but we make the most of the room we have. Being near the bank helps people find us when they are out doing their errands. We open up every morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There are a lot of other shops around us in Menchu Bazar, so there is always something going on. We just do our own thing and try to keep up with everything. It’s not a fancy setup. We have shelves and counters like any other place. It gets a bit noisy with all the people outside, but we are used to it by now. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby. We know a lot of the faces that come through the door. It’s a decent place to work. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop. If you’re at the OBC Bank, you just have to look around and you’ll see us. We’re just regular people trying to run a business in the middle of a busy bazar. It stays interesting.
