Vivekanand Gramin Vikas Foundation

Our foundation, Vivekanand Gramin Vikas Foundation, is situated at number 28 in Bariyarpur Urf Bazidpuranjanakot. It is a mouthful of a name for a place, but locals just call it Bariyarpur East. We are nestled right in the heart of the village area. The building is an old one, but it holds up well for what we need. We use the front room for most of our work. There are always people coming and going because we are right in the middle of the residential area. We don't really have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people find us through word of mouth. It is a very community-driven space. We spend a lot of time just talking to the farmers and families who live nearby. The work we do is pretty straightforward. We look at what is missing in the village and try to see how we can help out. It is not always successful on the first try, but we keep at it. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when there is a meeting, but we make do. We like the pace of life here in Bariyarpur. It's peaceful most of the time, except when the local kids are playing outside. We are just regular people trying to do a bit of good in our own backyard. If you find yourself in the east part of Bariyarpur, we are not hard to locate.
