Sweety Enterprises

Sweety Enterprises sits in Berma Village, which is part of the Lakhnaur Block in the Madhubani District. We are very close to the railway station, so we hear the trains passing by throughout the day and night. It’s a local operation where most of us know everyone who walks through the door. Being in a village means our work often follows the rhythm of the seasons. When it’s harvest time, things might slow down a bit, and when people start building after the rains, we get really busy. Our space isn't much to look at, just a practical storage and work area where we keep the supplies. We handle various items that people in the village and nearby areas need for their small projects or bigger construction jobs. The road leading to the station gets quite muddy sometimes, which makes transporting goods a bit of a challenge. We mostly use small trucks or even carts to move things around. There is no corporate structure here; it's just a few of us making sure orders get filled and the stock is where it needs to be. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit to get things moving again, but that is just part of living and working in Madhubani. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries or when we are discussing a job with a neighbor who stopped by to ask about some materials. It's a quiet but constant kind of life here.
