Swayamvar

Swayamvar is located on the first floor at Paliram Chowk in the Bakerganj neighborhood. This part of the city is always moving, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with clothing, mostly for weddings and special events, so there’s always a lot of color and fabric around the place. It’s not a quiet, empty store. It’s usually full of people looking at outfits or talking about what they need for a family function. We don't have a team of corporate designers or a big advertising budget. It’s just us, the family, and a few staff members who have been with us for a long time. We know our stock inside and out. If someone walks in looking for something specific, we usually know exactly where it is in the piles. Being on the first floor gives us a little bit of a break from the noise of the chowk, but you can still feel the energy of the market downstairs. We don't have any grand mission statements or polished speeches for our customers. We just show them what we have and help them find something that fits. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Bakerganj has been our home for a while, and we like the bustle of it. It’s a busy, sometimes chaotic life, but it’s our life.
