Subsign Xiqual Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is located in Madanpur, which is in the Bahadurpur block of Darbhanga. Ashu Kumar is the main person who stays here and looks after everything. It's a very local operation, and we don't have any big aspirations to be a huge company. We just want to do some good in our own neighborhood. The office is just a small room in a house. It gets quite warm in Darbhanga, so we have a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise but keep us cool enough. We don't have a lot of money for fancy things, so we use what we have. Most of our days are spent meeting with people from the block. They come to us with all sorts of things, and we try to help out as best as we can. We don't have a formal way of doing things. We just listen and then see what can be done. It's not a polished business with a lot of rules. We are just regular people who care about our town. Sometimes we have tea with whoever comes to visit, and the work happens in between the conversations. The streets outside are narrow and full of life. It’s a busy place, but we like the energy of it. We are just trying to be a small part of making Madanpur a better place for everyone who lives here.
